The 'Aborignal & Torres Strait Islander Family Wellbeing' program is a team of four workers with three stationed at Girudala and one in Proserpine at the community centre that can help indigenous families with any issues that may be affecting them.

We are all aware of the hardships faced by families and sometimes we may need help in dealing with those hardships. There is no shame in asking for help.

Families will be involved in making decisions to experience positive long-term effects on their confidence and self esteem; and feel empowered rather than helpless and sustain positive changes. All families need respect and an acknowledgement. Every individual or family has strengths that we can build on.

"A problem shared is a problem halved."
